Karma puts nearby food, search, and your orders in three main areas: the home feed, Discover, and Activity. Your profile and settings open from the avatar at the top of the app.
Browse the home feed
Open the first tab to see recommendations for today or tonight. The feed can include favourites, nearby places, and current Surplus offers.
Select a place or item to see its details. Availability changes during the day, so pull down to refresh when you return to the feed.
Search in Discover
- Select Discover in the bottom navigation.
- Use Search to find a restaurant, city, or dish.
- Switch between Map and List when you want a geographic or scannable view.
- Open Filters to choose categories or dietary preferences.
- Select a place to view its available Save, Book, or Takeaway options.
Not every place offers every option. A place can appear on the map even when it has no Surplus available right now.

Find orders, bookings, and receipts
Select Activity in the bottom navigation.
- Current shows active orders, bookings, and open tabs.
- History shows earlier activity.
- Select an order to track its status, view pickup details, or open its receipt when available.
You need to sign in to see activity connected to your account.
Open your cart
The Cart tab appears after you add an item. Open it to review the location, items, pickup details, discounts, and total before payment.
Items from different locations cannot be combined into one order.
Open your profile and settings
Select your avatar at the top of the app. From your profile you can manage account details, dietary preferences, payment methods, notifications, privacy settings, and support conversations.
If something looks missing
Check that you are signed in with the expected email address, phone number, Apple account, or Google account. Then refresh the screen. If the problem continues, follow Fix common problems in the Karma app.
