Connect Fortnox from Apps, then choose invoice and bookkeeping settings that match your accounting workflow. The integration may need to be enabled for your plan before the connection button is available.
Connect Fortnox
- Open Apps → Fortnox.
- If you see an upgrade screen, contact Karma to add the integration to your plan.
- Select Connect Fortnox.
- Sign in to the correct Fortnox company and approve the requested access.
- Return to Karma and confirm the card shows Connected and the expected company name.
Choose how data is sent
After connecting, review these settings:
- Invoice push mode: choose whether Karma creates an invoice or an order in Fortnox.
- Nightly SIE export: turn this on to send the daily bookkeeping export automatically.
- SIE booking mode: choose the Fortnox inbox or voucher workflow. Review the warning before choosing voucher mode.
- Invoice posting: set the Fortnox revenue account and cost centre used for invoice rows.
These controls solve different jobs. Connecting Fortnox does not automatically enable every export or posting workflow.
Verify an export
- Open the SIE export history card on the Fortnox page.
- Select refresh.
- Check the status, period, file and delivery time of the latest export.
- For a failed export, read the displayed error and correct the relevant Fortnox or posting setting before trying again.
Karma sends data to Fortnox. It does not currently import customer records from Fortnox into Karma.
When to contact support
Contact support if the connection returns to Not configured, the company is wrong, a corrected export repeatedly fails, or Fortnox contains a duplicate. Include the location, Fortnox company, export period, status and displayed error. Do not send Fortnox credentials.
